 Our family has worked with multiple agents over the years, and no one goes above and beyond the way that Ingrid does. She truly is a partner in the buying/selling process.  One day in early January, I was having lunch with some work friends, lamenting the difficulty of finding and buying a house in today's messy market. My friend says to me "oh, I have THE BEST agent, you have to call her,"
And so I started working with Ingrid. I called her that day, and we started looking the next day after work. Ingrid went with me all over t looking at places, trying to get a sense of what I liked and wanted. Buying a house in a crazy market is super stressful, and as places disappeared and prices moved while we were looking, it was hard not to let the stress of the process lead me to bad decisions.
That's when I worked out that yup, my friend was right about working with Ingrid. I really knew I'd found a great agent when Ingrid would talk with me when I was too eager on houses I didn't really love and remind me of what I actually wanted. I remember one house in particular, we visited multiple times, and though I thought I wanted it, apparently I was giving off all the "no" body language. Ingrid said: "look, I'd love to write this offer for you, but only if you really like the house. Not the idea of the house or the idea of being done looking. Go home. Call me tonight if you still want it." An hour after I got home, it was clear to me that Ingrid was right. A few hours later, she called and asked "so, am I writing an offer for you?" And it was an easy answer: no.
I eventually found a house that I was actually really excited about, and Ingrid helped me secure it without having to overpay or give up too much. And even after closing, when I ran in to a few difficulties, Ingrid's been a great help. So, now when I talk with my friends about the woes of house-hunting, I too can say "oh, I have the best agent" 

 Highly recommend Ingrid for first time homebuyers. She helped us look at many houses as we explored off and on over the course of 1 year. And once we found a house that we liked, she made sure our offer had necessary contingencies to protect us (despite us being okay with waiving them) and was a great help throughout the entire process. On the final walkthrough, we discovered that the central AC wasn’t working and she made sure to get that fixed before we closed. 

 As a first time home buyer and the fact haven't been in WA long, it was important that I had a agent that went above and beyond to ensure a smooth closing process and was able to provide neighborhoods stats. Ingrid Haugaard coordinated with the seller's agent, the mortgage lender, and the title company to ensure all necessary documents were in order and deadlines were met. Her knowledge of the local market was impressive and she was able to provide insights and guidance on the various neighborhoods and properties we visited. She also helped me navigate competitive buying options as I wanted a home that was not yet on the market. Her expertise and organization was invaluable in navigating the complexities of closing process.
